Administration & Finance

The Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance is the chief administrative and financial officer of the University and as such is responsible for the financial and operational management of Widener University, as well as the implementation and oversight of University policy and procedure in accordance with government regulations.

The Office of the Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance has responsibility for the following offices:

Athletics, Campus Safety, Controller, Enrollment Services (Admissions, Bursar, Financial Aid, and Registrar), Human Resources, Information Technology Services, Operations and such other duties and responsibilities as the President of the University may assign.


Widener's athletic teams compete at the NCAA Division III intercollegiate level and the University places the highest priority on the overall quality of the educational and athletic experiences. 

Campus Safety

Centrally located on the ground level of Old Main on the Chester Campus, the Campus Safety Department provides 24-hour-per-day, seven-day-a-week service and protection to the Chester, Delaware and Harrisburg campuses. The department uses highly visible officers on bicycles, vehicles, and foot patrols.

Office of the Controller

The Controller's Office is responsible for administering the financial policies and procedures of the University. The Office is also responsible for preparation of the University's audited financial statements as well compliance in financial, grant, tax, and federal, state and local government reporting.  The Controller's area also serves as a resource to the University Community by providing a variety of financial and accounting services.

Enrollment Services

Our goal is to assist students in the completion of their business functions at Widener University – everything from checking financial aid, paying a bill, getting your Campus1Card, or assistance with completing your registration.

 Human Resources

The Human Resources Office is committed to providing effective, accurate and responsive services, fostering an environment of mutual trust and respect, and building a community that embraces academic excellence, diversity, civic responsibility and leadership.   We strive to be fair, honest and professional in our dealings with all constituents, in a confidential manner.

 Information Technology Services

ITS provides computing, information, network, and telephone services to the entire campus community.  ITS connects people to people, to their work and studies, and to the resources they need to achieve their goals.


The Operations Department provides a wide range of services for the campus community, including building and grounds maintenance, construction management, custodial services, utility management, mail services and campus sustainability.
