PMC Museum

The PMC Museum links the legacy of the distinguished Pennsylvania Military College Corps of Cadets, the predecessor of Widener University, with the promises of present graduating classes. Inside the PMC Museum, you’ll find exhibits of sabres, uniforms, scrapbooks, newspapers, and yearbooks.

You'll be taken back to a time when cadets lived by the Regulation Book, when rooks (freshman) were in training, polo was a dominant sport, and the close order drill team brought PMC national prominence.

Archival Partnership

Located, fittingly, in a wing of Widener's Alumni Auditorium, the PMC Museum in partnership with the Widener University Archives, gathers, preserves, and makes available to the public artifacts, video histories, and memorabilia of Widener’s honorable military history as the Pennsylvania Military Academy and Pennsylvania Military College.

Opened to the public in 2000, the PMC collection includes an array of authentic uniforms, caps, and trophies, as well as special exhibits for athletics, cadet life, and PMC alumni achievements.

Exhibits include:

  • Pershing Rifle Drill Team
  • PMC Band
  • Boardwalk Bowl
  • Distinguished Alumni

New exhibits include:

  • The Mounted Cadet
  • PMC Class Rings
  • Historic Marker for Tombstones
  • 50th Reunion Class Exhibit

Vintage films, photographs, and documents continue to be converted to digitized formats and made accessible to alumni and their descendants, the university, surrounding communities, and visitors and researchers nationwide.
