The Wolfgram Memorial Library's Reference Service provides assistance to students, faculty, staff, and other library patrons with their research and other information needs. Besides providing individual consultation at the Reference Desk, the librarians teach information retrieval skills to freshman, transfer, and upperclassmen in groups. Subject specialist librarians give group instruction to upperclassmen emphasizing databases and other resources in their area of specialization.
A subject specialist librarian has been assigned to work with each of the academic disciplines and programs of study on campus. The subject specialist librarians function as the liaison for the assigned departments; they select books, databases, and other appropriate sources for their assigned areas. The subject specialist librarians also provide individualized consultations for faculty and students needing help with their research or independent study projects. This service is provided by appointment only. See the list of subject specialists below.
