Student Clubs & Organizations, LGBT
Widener LGBT student groups are some of the most active organizations on campus. Regular social and educational events are held throughout the year and students are active in civic engagement opportunities on and off campus.
Sexuality and Gender Alliance (SAGA)
This undergraduate-student organization is dedicated to promoting diversity and good health for all people. SAGA strives to build a community where students can make new friends in a safe and supportive environment. Meetings and events provide a mixture of discussion time, club business, activities, and encouraging conversations to help one another to feel welcome at Widener.
LGBT Grad Style
LGBT Grad Style provides support and education on LGBT issues around campus and in the community. The club is open to all graduate students. The master of social work program supports the organization by co-sponsoring and marketing events and assigning a graduate assistant liaison.
The Widener OUTLaws is a gay-straight alliance group that serves students from the Delaware Law School and provides educational opportunities for all law students regarding LGBT issues. Their motto: “There is no judgment here. Acceptance!”
