Gender & Women's Studies

• You will take core courses that survey feminist research methods and scholarship, as well as a selection of electives drawn from a variety of disciplines.
• You will develop a critical thinking framework for a systematic re-examination of the historical, economic, political, social, and cultural experiences of women.
• You will explore gender roles as cultural and cross-cultural concepts, develop an awareness of living in a gendered environment in the public and private realm, and examine the impact of gender on social structures and systems.

You can undertake a dual major pairing gender & women's studies and another discipline of your choosing. Your ability to articulate what you have learned about the intersection of gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, and class will enhance your potential for success in graduate school and numerous professions.
