Computer Science Events

Every fall, teams of seniors begin working on senior projects that end at the end of the spring semester. During each semester, public presentations are given at three different times. Any student may come and attend these public presentations. Check back in the fall to see when the next presentations will be scheduled.

At the end of every school year, sometime in May, the computer science department has an annual banquet. All students in computer science and computer information systems are encouraged to attend.

During the banquet, awards and honors are awarded to students for a variety of different skills or accomplishments. The next Computer Science banquet will be held in May of 2010.

Every year, the computer science department has invited students from a variety of high schools in the local area to come and partake in our annual programming contest. These students work together in teams to complete a list of programs chosen by the computer science department faculty.

High school students have the opportunity meet other students from around the area and awards are given to the top three teams. Check back this fall to see when the next annual programming contest will be.
