With most of the region’s leading businesses in areas including finance, sport management, and Fortune 500 companies recruiting on campus, the School of Business Administration presents you with the opportunity to develop a great career. Within several months following graduation, an overwhelming majority of our graduating seniors are employed as business professionals on a full-time basis.

Many graduates also enroll in one of our master’s degree programs in business administration, tax and financial planning, information systems, and human resource and organizational leadership. Students may also choose an accelerated program that enables them to complete both the bachelor’s and master’s programs in five years following their high school graduation. Accounting majors have many different ways for completing 120 hours requirement for the CPA designation. Also, take a look at our new major, Business Informatics.

The School of Business Administration provides you with applied experience in the form of both internship and co-operative (co-op) options. Students in co-op, receive a highly paid placement in one of the metropolitan regions’ several hundred leading employers that have participated in the program during the last decade. Internship and co-op and internship options, students gain practical experience through experiential learning and service learning situations. You can work with local Chester residents, for example, to help them with their income tax forms, or you can help non-profit organizations use statistical analyses to pinpoint opportunities for growth. As a senior interning at the Widener University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), you may help local entrepreneurs prepare their business plans. Or you may enroll in our Honors Program with international trip options. The choice is yours.
