Business Process Innovation

Why Widener?
Widener's AACSB accredited program prepares students to connect information technology (IT) with business for sustainable competitive advantage. In today's fast-paced and constantly changing business world, agile information systems are crucial for business process success. Information agility integrates information architecture with competitive strategy and business process excellence by coordinating the latest thinking in data design, knowledge capture, change management, and project management. When combined with business process mapping and redesign, both technical and non-technical managers can substantially improve the business value generated by an organization's IS resources. These classes are taught by full-time faculty along with selected industry practitioners to provide students with a combination of theory and practical application.
Special Features
Students pursuing the MSBPI program specialize in Accounting Information Systems (AIS), Business Process Innovation (BPI), or Management Information Systems (MIS). Widener University is a member of the SAP University Alliance. In selected courses, students use SAP software as part of their 'hands-on' learning experience. Students completing a minimum of three SAP related courses earn a Certificate of Recognition from SAP. Widener University School of Business Administration was named a Center of Excellence for Business Process Innovation by SAP, Inc. and IDS Scheer.

Starting in Fall 2010, online courses are available in the BPI master's program.
