Academic Scholarships

In addition to the laptop computers for engineering freshmen, Widener University awards a number of Presidential Scholarships to academically talented students. These scholarships, ranging from $7,000 to full tuition, are awarded solely on the basis of merit.

Each applicant is considered for all awards for which he or she may be eligible, with the exception of the full-tuition Widener Scholarship. To be considered for the full-tuition Widener Scholarship, applicants must apply to the university no later than February 15 and have a minimum combined math and verbal SAT score of 1350, a grade point average of 3.8, and a high school rank in the top 10 percent of the class. An interview is also required.

All Presidential Scholarships are renewable subject to academic performance and are offered to entering freshmen only.
