MSW Degree
Widener's social work programs educate students to engage with their clients to improve the quality of life of vulnerable individuals, families, groups and communities. At the MSW level, in addition to preparing students to be effective generalist social workers, our single concentration in clinical social work focuses on providing students with the full range of skills needed for direct clinical practice with individuals, families, and groups within human service organizations.
If you are interested in direct clinical social work practice and in developing the skills needed to work effectively with individuals, families and groups then our single concentration in agency-based clinical social work practice might be the alternative you have been seeking.
Class times have been scheduled to meet the needs of students with multiple responsibilities. Most MSW classes meet on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Daytime and evening classes are available. Part-time students also begin in May and complete the program in five semesters.
