The chemistry department has three teaching laboratories designed for introductory chemistry courses.  These rooms have all been recently renovated and they have been designed to accommodate a wide range of different style teaching laboratories.  Each of these rooms is designed to accommodate 16 students.  The room has four large benches, and is equipped with 8 hoods.  This design allows students to work individually, in pairs, or in groups of four depending upon the experiment.  Students can work in pairs in a fully functional chemical safety hood.  Each room has one ADA student station to meet any special accommodations required by students in the courses.  In the center of the room is a large table that is used for discussions and for student presentations.
