Science Teaching Center

The Science Teaching Center (STC) was instituted in 1992 to provide comprehensive outreach programs for public and private schools in the Greater Delaware Valley region.

Originally located in a small building on 15th street in Chester, Pa., the STC has recently moved to a new wing of Widener's Kirkbride Science Building. Its new location and upgraded facilities has led to renewed and reinvigorated interest in PK-16 science education.

Please join us as we continue to improve science education and focus on active engagement and inquiry as guiding principles to help others understand the way the world works!

STC and Earth Force

Widener University and Delaware Valley Earth Force have teamed up to provide CAPS to Smedley Middle School.

Saturday Ecology Academy for Girls

At this unique, Saturday Academy, girls will develop self-esteem and learn about exciting careers in the sciences through ecological exploration with field professionals and teachers.
