pre-healthcare professionsPre-Health Care Professions

From the first day of enrollment, undergraduate students are assisted in their preparation for a health care professional program in a supportive and collaborative environment. To prepare the strongest application possible, students meet with both their academic major advisor and the pre-health professions advisor throughout their time at Widener. The pre-health professions committee advises students interested in medical, dental, veterinary, pharmacy, physician assistant, optometry, podiatry, and physical therapy programs.

If your goal is to become a physical therapist, Widener has a pre-physical therapy program to set you up for success in our graduate program in physical therapy, one of the nation’s leading programs and one of the first to offer a doctor of physical therapy degree. Unlike many other universities, Widener provides an advantage in that it allows students to pursue their interest in physical therapy while at the same time exploring their interests and passions among a wide variety of majors.

pre-lawPre-Law

Widener’s pre-law program is devoted to student success in the law school application process through coursework, practice LSAT exams, and interaction with law faculty and students. Widener students enjoy the added advantage of special admissions programs to both its Delaware and Commonwealth (Harrisburg, PA) law schools.
