My Widener Experience

why did you decide to major in biology?

I decided to pursue a degree in biology because the sciences had always intrigued me since a very young age. Moreover, healthcare had been a field that my family had extensive involvement in, which helped shape my passion for physical therapy.

what clubs or organizations were you involved in that made a memorable impression?

Sexuality and Gender Alliance, Alpha Phi Omega, Alpha Chi Sigma, Widener Chorale, Keepin' It Trill acapella group, and Biology Club.

My Professional Experience

what advice would you give a prospective student considering your major?

Nothing will shape your professional development and interest in the world around you like a degree in biology. You will certainly be challenged and pushed to think critically, however, you will also be rewarded with excellent memories, friendships, and insight into the sciences and life.

how has widener prepared you for life after college?

As a current DPT student at Rutgers University, Widener has clearly helped me advance towards my goal of becoming a doctor of physical therapy.
