My Widener Experience
why did you decide to major in chemistry?
I decided to major in chemistry after my first general chemistry class freshman year. The content in the class involving chemical reactions and spectroscopy sparked my interests.
if you were to do your college experience at widener again, what wouldn't you change?
I would not change the three years of undergraduate research. In those three years, I was able to explore new ideas and develop hands-on experience in the lab.
My Professional Experience
how has widener prepared you for life after college?
The commitment and attention of the professors to the students and rigorous class work helped me to prepare for graduate school.
what advice would you give a prospective student considering your major?
I would advise a prospective student to start undergraduate research as early as possible. The knowledge gained from a lab experience is invaluable.
