My Widener Experience

why did you decide to major in chemistry?

My goal since I was in high school was to pursue a career in forensic science. I majored in chemistry because I knew I needed a strong background in a physical science to reach this goal.

what is your favorite memory of widener?

My favorite memory at Widener University was the first extra hour class for Organic Chemistry. It was in this class that we formed groups to work on practice problems. Little did I know that my future husband was in my group!

My Professional Experience

what advice would you give a prospective student considering your major?

The professors are there to help you. Take advantage of office hours and ask as many questions as it takes to help you understand the material. They want you to succeed!

how has widener prepared you for life after college?

Widener University's chemistry program gave me the basic knowledge I needed to pursue a career with a more specific focus. I did not realize it until I started my master’s program at Arcadia University. I was more prepared for the next level of education than many of the other students in the program.
