Economics
At its core, economics is the study of making choices.
While its fundamental principles are most often applied in the world of business, economics prepares students for careers in fields as diverse as government and law to education and information technology.
Widener's undergraduate program in economics provides students with the analytical skills that employers seek, helping graduates bring a high degree of critical thinking to their employment field of choice.
The economics degree leads to employment opportunities and offers outstanding preparation for graduate and professional school. Students have the option of taking the Financial Services Track, which prepares them for taking the CFP™ Certification Exam.
The economics program at Widener is designed to hone problem-solving and decision-making skills. National internships in locales such as Washington, D.C., and international study abroad programs provide students with the opportunity to combine course work with valuable work experience.
