Why Widener?

Management Experience

Real-World Experiences

Our students are encouraged to complete internships and participate in our co-op program. Through these real-world experiences, you will become skilled at applying what you’ve learned in class to solve real business problems, have a better understanding of the careers in your field, and get your foot in the door for future job opportunities since many firms use these programs as a screening process to identify and recruit talented employees.

Career Fair

Career Development from Day One

One of our goals is to prepare students to land desirable jobs that lead to successful careers. Our curriculum includes a 4-year career development process that begins the day you arrive at Widener. You will engage in a variety of career-related activities that are embedded in different courses. These activities guide you through the process of discovering your career options, creating a detailed career plan, building a robust portfolio of competencies to make you more marketable to employers, and executing a job search strategy that lands you a desirable job and career.

Management Learn

Learning by Doing

This major provides you with the knowledge to become a leader in your field. But you will gain much more than just knowledge. We help you develop skills that employers desire and competencies that give you an edge over other applicants through a variety of hands-on learning activities. Such experiences add muscle to your resume, strengthen your portfolio, and make you more valuable to potential employers.
