Speaker Series

The School of Business Administration has launched a speaker series with SMGT which brings heroes, motivators and leaders to Widener University with the goal of inspiring our students, faculty and the community to achieve.

We have hosted such luminaries as Bill Bergey, an all pro defensive player for the Philadelphia Eagles, who shared the lessons he learned during has pro football career as a broadcaster. Our students were inspired by Macharia Yout, outstanding runner, NCAA champion and one of the "Lost Boys of the Sudan."

Last year we hosted the management team of the Philadelphia Union. This year we will explore the money side of professional sports. It’s not all fun and games. The goal is to let students know what big business professional sports team are and what jobs are available in the industry.
