The Continuing Studies Division of Widener University and Crozer-Chester Medical Center is jointly offering an Associate of Science in Allied Health degree for Radiologic Technology.
This program is designed to offer students the benefits of a Widener education plus the clinical expertise from the long-established Crozer-Chester Medical Center's School of Radiologic Technology. Prerequisite academic courses that are necessary for admission to the program and degree program courses can be taken at Widener's Continuing Studies Division in the evening or online. Following admission to the program, 24 months of full-time radiologic technology courses and clinicals will be taken at Crozer-Chester Medical Center's North Campus.
Students will receive Widener credit for all Crozer courses and clinicals, and will be required to complete their degrees before sitting for the national registry board examinations. This program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT): 20 N. Wacker Drive, Suite 2850, Chicago, IL 60606.
Prerequisites to the radiologic technology program:
- MATH 115 Conceptual Mathematics
- Medical Terminology (recommended)
- ENGL 101 Composition and Critical Thought
- PSY 105 Introductory Psychology or SOC 105 Introductory Sociology
- UCS 102 Introduction to Undergraduate Continuing Studies
- Humanities elective
- 2.85 or higher GPA
The tuition for Widener courses is currently $558 per credit. Crozer courses are $700 per credit for undergraduate students and $800 for post-bachelor students (there are 45 radiologic technology credits). Widener does accept transfer credit from regionally accredited institutions of higher learning, and does offer financial aid for qualified undergraduate students.
