Criminal Justice, Continuing Studies
The criminal justice major provides knowledge for students in criminal corrections, the courts system, police work, probation, and other law-related professions. The program also serves as a good foundation for graduate work in law, public and criminal justice system administration, and the social sciences.
The curriculum emphasizes the study of crime within the context of sociology, government and politics, and psychology and provides an understanding of the administration of justice in the United States while helping students explore the social forces that shape differing kinds of criminal conduct.
