Liberal Studies, Continuing Studies
The bachelor’s degree in liberal studies is an interdisciplinary program that exposes you to a broad range of academic knowledge in the social sciences, humanities, and sciences.
The program provides the foundation for a number of careers, given the interest of employers, especially in business and government, in hiring people with problem-solving and communication skills. A liberal studies degree is also a good foundation for a most graduate and professional programs, including law school.
The associate’s degree in liberal arts program is designed to provide broad interdisciplinary study in the liberal arts and sciences.
With the assistance of an academic advisor, a student can schedule a number of courses to meet specific interests and needs. The curriculum provides the foundation for continuing on into the bachelor’s program in liberal studies. Students will be able to think critically and communicate effectively in oral and written discourse and will demonstrate attributes associated with professional and civic leadership. The degree awarded is an associate of arts.
