Online Classroom, Continuing Studies
Not all schedules are as flexible as we might like. Sometimes life gets in the way.
With Widener’s online classroom, you have the flexibility to do your course work at home, or any time that works best for you. The Center for Continuing Studies offers a variety of class formats for the working adult, with two online options for the independent learner.
There are no class sessions held on campus. There are no mandatory meeting times. Courses are delivered over a 14-week semester through WebStudy, a learning management system.
Accelerated studies is a hybrid form of learning that combines weekly on-campus class meetings with online learning activities. This accelerated course format enables students to complete a course in just seven weeks, allowing for two sessions per semester. The online learning activites are delivered through WebStudy, a learning management system.
Students interested in taking classes online should attend an orientation on the WebStudy learning management system. The orientation is held prior to the beginning of each semester.
To register for the WebStudy orientation, contact the Continuing Studies office (see Contact on left).
