Karen Chiarini is the Coordinator of Distance Learning for the Continuing Studies Division of the School of Education, Innovation, and Continuing Studies at Widener University. Karen is responsible for all distance learning courses within WebStudy, faculty development and student events.
Karen has received an award from the UPCEA Mid-Atlantic Region: 2012 Partnership - WebStudy 2012: Unlock Student Potential, the UPCEA Mid-Atlantic Region: 2010 Faculty and Staff Development - WebStudy Training for Adjunct Faculty and also presented at the CAEL Conference in 2008: ALFI - A Focus on Faculty. She is on various committees within the Widener community for assessment and faculty awards. In addition, Karen is the Chair of the Education Committee for WebStudy's Steering Committee and was the program director of WebStudy's Conference in 2012. Furthermore, Karen is also a member of UPCEA and ACHE.
Karen received her M.Ed. from Widener University in Student Personnel Services and Higher Education Counseling and her B.A. from Widener University in Liberal Studies.
