Professor D'Onofrio has been a faculty member of Widener University since 1979.
Professor D'Onofrio received the Lindback Award for teaching excellence. She developed curricula and courses related to psycholinguistics, qualitative research, educational statistics and research methods for doctoral programs in Higher Educational Leadership, School Administration, Reading, and also for the School of Nursing. She was chair of the Special Interest Group for Qualitative Research for the American Evaluation Association, and was a member of the editorial board of Reading Writing Quarterly. She has been Faculty Chair of Widener University, and was an original member of the Vision 2015 Strategic Planning Committee. She served as Director of Graduate Education in the former Center for Education. Since 2007 Professor D'Onofrio currently has served as the NCATE coordinator.
Professor D'Onofrio completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Master of Education and Doctor of Philosophy at Temple University.
