Annemarie B. Jay is a tenured Associate Professor of Reading/Literacy at Widener University in Chester, PA. Her research interests include literacy leadership, early literacy, and strategic teaching and learning.
She is past president of the Keystone State Reading Association (KSRA) and continues to serve on the KSRA executive committee as the state coordinator for the International Reading Association. She is also the president of the Delaware County Reading Council. Additionally, Jay co-chairs two committees for the International Reading Association: The Robinson Research Grant Committee and the 2013 Educational Policy Principles Committee. Jay is the co-author of A guide to literacy coaching: Helping teachings increase student achievement.
Had a 33 year career in public education, mostly in administrative roles (K-12 curriculum coordinator, elementary principal, federal programs coordinator, and supervisor of elementary education) before going to Widener. During her tenure in public education, Annemarie Jay taught at the University of Pennsylvania and Saint Joesph's University.
