Dr. Schaming earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education; a Master of Science in Counselor Education; and a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She is an education and human-service professional with more than 26 years' experience in a variety of behavioral health, educational, and counseling settings. Dr. Schaming is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is Nationally Board Certified.
Dr. Schaming is currently a member of the American School Counselor Association, PA Counseling Association, the Association of Counselor Educators and Supervisors, the PA School Counselor Association, the Eastern Educational Research Association, as well as the American Counseling Association. Her leadership and scholarship involvement include membership in Phi Kappa Phi, Mortar Board, Kappa Delta Pi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Chi Sigma lota.
She has authored five peer-reviewed publications and presented nationally and regionally related to School Culture and Climate, University and Community Partnerships, Character Education, Suicide Prevention and Education, as well as Student Leadership and Academic Achievement.
