Healthy Me Program

Healthy Me is a collaborative program designed to promote healthy living and wellness practices for sixth-grade students from Stetser Elementary School and the community. Sophomore teacher candidates and senior nursing students participate as part of the service-learning requirements for their coursework. Learn more.

Field experiences in local schools are an important part of the curriculum. They enable students to gain hands-on experience and assist them in confirming whether or not they want to pursue a career in education. Required field experiences involve observing and participating in school-related activities.

Field experiences are required by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for certification and are integral to the certification programs. For this reason, students must arrange their schedules so that all other activities (including participating in athletics and other collegiate extracurricular programs) do not interfere with these field experiences.

Transfer students must consult with the coordinator of field placement and student teaching to be certain they have satisfied field experience requirements.
