Students seeking secondary teacher certification (grades 7 - 12) choose a major in the College of Arts and Sciences and use free electives to complete the required education coursework. Students can earn secondary education certification in:

- Chemistry
- Earth and Space Science
- English
- French
- Comprehensive General Science
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Social Studies
- Spanish
