Outreach Programs

You don’t have to wait until you are in college to experience what the School of Engineering has to offer! We have a variety of programs designed just for high school students. In addition to all of the exciting programs you can also schedule your own personal visit where we will arrange for you to meet professors and students from the School of Engineering, tour a laboratory or attend a class.

Engineering Summer Camp, June 23 – 26, 2014

Learn about careers in engineering in a fun, hands-on camp offered by Widener professors. Students entering 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades may register directly. This camp is designed for both commuters and residential campers.

Are you considering attending Widener, and wish to learn more about the facilities or faculty? Register for a Widener Day, so you can tour the labs and meet the professors!

Engineering Mini-Camp for High School Girls, February 8, 2014

A one-day event filled with hands-on projects and lots of fun. There is also an optional parents program available, which covers the processes of engineering school admissions and financial aid.


TSA/TEAMS Competition, March 4, 2014

 Widener is one of 100 sites around the country for this exam-based competition where teams of high school students compete for local and national awards.
