You don’t have to wait until you are in college to experience what the School of Engineering has to offer! We have a variety of programs designed just for high school students.
In addition to all of the exciting programs you can also schedule your own personal visit where we will arrange for you to meet professors and students from the School of
Engineering, tour a laboratory, or attend a class.

If you're interested in engineering, Widener's summer camp is the perfect place to start exploring. We’ll introduce you to this exciting field through the eyes of our top-ranked engineering program. Widener’s Summer Engineering Camp is serious fun. You’ll make concrete blocks, launch soda bottle rockets, and explore the fields of chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, robotics, and biomedical engineering. July 23-26, 2018
The Robotics Summer Camp is an opportunity for high school students to learn about robotics systems and develop their robotics sills. Learn about programming and assembly of robots, robotic system optimization, competition strategies, and more! For more information on the camp and to register, click here.

Learn more about engineering careers and education with this fun-filled day of hands-on experiences taught by engineering professors. This camp offers an optional parents’ program, which covers the processes of engineering school admissions and financial aid.
February 2019: Date TBA
In this fun one-day event filled with hands-on projects, high school girls can learn about engineering careers by doing activities related to the kinds of work engineers do. There is an additional parents’ program conducted by women engineers from SWE and Widener University where parents can learn about university admissions policies, financial aid, academics, and student life.

This complimentary, interactive event for high school teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators offers hands-on learning experiences where challenging activities and teacher interact.

Widener is one of 100 sites around the country for this exam-based competition where teams of high school students compete for local and national awards.
Are you thinking about transferring to earn a Widener engineering degree? Widener University welcomes students who wish to transfer from other colleges and universities. If you have earned a minimum of 12 credits of academic work, you can be considered for transfer admission.
November 2018: Date TBA
The VEX Robotics Competition tasks teams of students with designing and building a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge.
