Robotics Summer Camp

The Widener Engineering Robotics Summer Camp is an opportunity for high school students to learn about robotics systems and to develop their robotics skills. High school students from all levels are welcome to participate in this exciting camp!

The School of Engineering has teamed up with leaders from the VEX Robotics community to teach students robotics skills and strategies for robotics competitions. Students will learn how to utilize engineering design techniques to build better robots and to hone their competitive skills.

Topics discussed during the camp include:


  • Overview of engineering and robotics systems
  • Overview of VEX robots and VEX robotics competitions
  • Assembly of VEX robots and mechanical systems
  • Programming of VEX robots and microcontrollers
  • Basic strategies for VEX robotics competitions
  • Autonomous strategies for VEX robotics competitions

Tuition for the camp is $400, which includes lunch.
