Electrical engineering is an exciting field that uses science and mathematics to solve practical problems. Electrical engineers design, build, and test products and systems. Areas of growth include telecommunications, computers and computer networks, control, microelectronics, photonics, power generation and distribution, robots and intelligent systems, solar power generators, high definition television, medical imaging, and microsensors.
What is the best way to learn about the electrical engineering program at Widener?

All classes are taught by professors.
What is the average electrical engineering class size?
Our student-to-faculty ratio is 16:1, meaning our students get individualized attention from their teachers in and out of the classroom. Some senior level classes are five to eight students.

Is it possible to pursue double major or get a minor?
Yes, students in the electrical engineering program can double major in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or physics. You can also get minors in engineering, mathematics, science, business, social science, and humanities.
As an electrical engineering undergraduate, can I enroll in a graduate level courses?
A junior- or senior-level status and a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 are the conditions to be allowed to take two graduate level courses.
Can I pursue advanced degree after finishing my bachelor’s degree?
