Robotics Engineering

Dual Degrees

Students have the option to pursue dual degrees with other majors such as biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer science.

Additional credit hours are required to satisfy the requirements of each degree earned. Students should contact the department chair of the respective departments or the Dean's office to coordinate a plan of study early in their freshmen year.

Why Widener?

Accelerated (4+1) BS/MSE

Eligible engineering students can earn both a bachelor of science and a master of science in engineering degree in just four to five years through the accelerated BS/MSE program. Graduate scholarships are available to qualified students. Interested students should contact the graduate engineering office early in their freshmen year.

Option for Pre-MBA Certificate

The pre-MBA certificate provides students with solid exposure to foundational business topics such as accounting, economics, finance, and management, and can be integrated into the four-year engineering curriculum. It also qualifies interested students to apply for an MBA at Widener following their graduation which can be earned in one year. Interested students should contact their academic advisor and the School of Business Administration early in their freshmen year.

Ability to Graduate in Four Years with Co-op

Unlike typical five-year co-op programs, Widener’s engineering four-year co-op program enables eligible students to complete up to one year of professional work experience and still graduate in four years. This gives students the ability to not only save educational costs but start their careers earlier than most engineering graduates.
