Kristen A. Riscinto-Kozub, PhD

Dr. Kristen A. Riscinto-Kozub received her Ph.D. from Auburn University, Auburn, AL in Nutrition and Food Science with an emphasis in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Marketing, her MS in Hospitality Management & Tourism from Roosevelt University, Chicago, IL and her BS in Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, PA.
Prior to joining the faculty at Widener she spent over fifteen years in the hospitality industry working for private and city clubs, Red Lobster Restaurant, Olive Garden Restaurant and Starbucks Coffee Company. She also served as Program Coordinator and Instructor of the Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Program at Ogeechee College, Statesboro, GA for over three years.
Dr. Kozub serves as the Advisor for Widener University's Society of Food and Wine Student Association, Advisory Board Member for Widener University's School of Business Talluto's On Campus Small Business Project, as well as an Advisory Board Member for Widener University's Pedagogical Effectiveness and Support Committee. She is also certified through the National Restaurant Association as a ServSafe Food Safety and Sanitation Instructor as well as a ServSafe Responsible Alcohol Service Instructor.
Her expertise and research interests lie in food and wine tourism, marketing and sustainability, relationship marketing, brand and guest loyalty and future behavioral intentions; as well as service quality and satisfaction. She currently teaches undergraduate courses in Introduction to Hospitality Management, Applied Food Production Management, Beverage Management, Events Management and Human Resource Management. She also teaches a Graduate course in Strategic Management.
