My Widener Experience
why did you decide to pursue your undergraduate degree in hospitality management at widener?
I loved the restaurant business. I started working there when I was 14. I loved the social aspect of it and the idea of making people happy through great food and great service.
who was your favorite professor at widener? why?
Professor Tucker was my favorite. He taught one of my first classes, and he was interesting and engaging. More importantly, he took the time to get to know ME! He spoke to me on a different level than I had ever experienced and introduced me to all of the opportunities in this amazing industry. He inspired me and helped me to identify the right path for my career.
My Professional Experience
what advice would you give a prospective student considering your major?
Focus your attention on a program that will give you the most personal attention and guidance. This was one of the most meaningful aspects of my college experience and really helped shape my future.
how has widener prepared you for life after college?
I saw great value in the required on-the-job experiences, especially the co-op program. Sharing and working through real-life experiences really prepared me to get out there and make it happen!
