Two Schools of Law
Leadership in the Law Widener University offers you an exceptional opportunity to prepare for your legal career in one of two outstanding law schools; Widener University Delaware Law School and Widener University Commonwealth Law School.
Both offer you impressive advantages:
- Distinguished Faculty Published scholars who are also dedicated teachers and mentors, including nationally recognized experts in fields ranging from environmental law to corporate law, torts to criminal defense.
- Substantive Experience Abundant opportunities for every student to become involved with clinics, externships, legal journals, moot court, and student organizations focused on areas of interest within the law—all providing invaluable experience in preparation for legal practice.
- Professional Connections A vast network of partnerships with working attorneys, judges, and business and government leaders across Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey — partnerships that bring real-world insights into our classrooms, open doors to externships and jobs, and immerse you in the legal culture of the region and the world.
- Exceptional Flexibility The option of completing your law degree either through three years of full-time study or four-years part-time. You will also find dual-degree options and opportunities to fashion your own schedule and specialize in areas of interest to you.
As a result of these advantages, Widener law students enter the workforce practice-ready on day one. Excellent practitioners and litigators, they have honed their skills through clinics in civil, criminal, environmental, and veteran’s law, and a myriad of externship opportunities in government and non-profit organizations. With the help of a strong alumni network, they hit the ground running.
As the students, faculty, and graduates of both these schools prove every day, when it comes to the law, Widener Leadership Works.
