The Widener University School of Nursing is proud to share our accomplishments with the community.
- In September 2013, we were designated an NLN Center of Excellence for Advancing the Science of Nursing Education.
- Widener University School of Nursing is a funded partner in the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Graduate Nursing Education Demonstration Project with Penn Medicine.
- Responding to the Chester community health needs, the School of Nursing started the
Widener Community Nursing Clinic, which opened in partnership with Cityteam in the fall of 2011.
Widener University Faculty Awards
Each May, Widener University honors teaching innovation, outstanding research, and civic engagement at the annual Faculty Awards Banquet. Leaders in higher education external to the university review the applications for these awards.
