My Widener Experience
why did you decide to pursue an mba at widener?
I decided to get an MBA at Widener with a concentration in BPI because I wanted to understand more about business processes and how they affect an entire organization. I also wanted to see how they could be better developed and broken down to work from top to bottom and enable a company to better execute its strategic vision. I’m interested in how BPM is bringing together IT and business strategies to forge a process-centric organization for cutting edge performance in today's business marketplace. I believe Widener has given me the knowledge to bring about substantial change at my company.
what made you choose widener?
Widener has a great reputation in the local marketplace. The brand is one that people respect. Many graduates from Widener are doing great things in the Philadelphia market place. Widener's MBA program is one of the best around.
My Professional Experience
how have leadership skills learned at widener helped you to succeed?
There are many skills I have learned at Widener that are helping me today. They include designing and implementing an effective appraisal review system, conducting an interview, running a meeting and group, recognizing and changing existing business strategies, effecting organizational change, and understanding different leadership styles and when and how to use them. All these skills have made me a better leader and more valuable to my organization.
what advice would you give a prospective student considering your graduate program?
Widener's MBA program is the place for you if you are seeking to be well rounded in all areas of how a company works from top to bottom, you want to be a leader in your organization, and you want to bring positive change and keep your company on the cutting edge of technology and business strategy.
