My Widener Experience
why did you decide to pursue a master in taxation & financial planning?
I decided to pursue a graduate degree in taxation to enhance my accounting background. My undergraduate studies at Widener prepared me for an internship at one of the 'Big 6' accounting firms. My experience as an auditor at the firm piqued my interest in taxation. Widener offered me the unique opportunity to pursue a graduate degree while still an undergraduate.
who was your favorite professor at widener? why?
Professor Hargadon was definitely my favorite. He was a great supporter and educator
who made you feel like family. He would not hesitate to do whatever he could to help
advance students' educational and personal goals.
My Professional Experience
what do you like most about your current position?
I enjoy my role as a community liaison between the community, the agency, and funders. Working with residents on a grassroots level is totally fulfilling.
what advice would you give a prospective student considering your graduate program?
Strongly consider Widener! There is a wealth of resources in alumni, faculty, and staff who remain ready to assist a student in achieving professional and academic success.
