Why Widener?

Accounting Options

Unique Program Options

Widener’s accounting program offers a number of different options for students to meet the 150 credit-hour requirement to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Three of the options allow qualified students to earn 150 credits in four years, while the fourth option allows students to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in five years. Each option builds in an experiential learning component (e.g., co-op or an internship).  The department also offers a minor in forensic accounting.

Industry Advisors

The Department of Accounting & Information Management (AIM) has a professional and academic advisory board consisting of practicing accountants and financial executives. The board is instrumental in evaluating and recommending curricular and program changes that assist the AIM department in continuing to improve and maintain the high quality, in-demand undergraduate accounting program.
