My Widener Experience
why did you decide to pursue your degree in business informatics?
It was new and adaptable to the constant change of the business world. There were multiple opportunities for me with this major; I was not confined to one industry, one job title, or one role in a company.
if you were to do your college experience at widener again, what wouldn't you change?
I would not change my decision of doing a co-op. Since I was an athlete, I only chose
the 4 month co-op in the fall of my sophomore year. Having 4 months of experiential
learning really differentiates you from your peers when looking for future employment
(and you get paid!!).
My Professional Experience
what advice would you give a prospective student considering joining the business
It may seem like a new/unknown major, but once people get the definition, explanation, and capabilities that come from that major, they realize your value.
how have leadership skills learned at widener helped you to succeed?
Being on the softball team while attending Widener immensely helped my professional leadership ethic. From the sport, I have increased communication skills, hardworking skills, my ability to work with others, and it showed me that hard work does pay off.
