My Widener Experience
why did you decide to major in accounting and economics?
I have always been intrigued with the analytics behind business. Economics offered a practical way to measure how business integrated into the market place, and accounting is the eloquent language behind how those businesses operate.
what is your favorite memory of widener?
One of my favorites is the School of Business Honors Program's trip to Costa Rica. We took a week-long tour across the country and explored the impact of big and small business on the economy.
My Professional Experience
what do you like most about your current position?
KPMG constantly challenges me with new client issues and ways to be a leader. I am very active in the firm and enjoy volunteering to help with its philanthropy efforts.
what advice would you give a prospective student considering your major?
Try to participate in the co-op program. I worked for AstraZeneca and KPMG where I learned about accounting and finance. I met people that were in a position to hire me.
