FAQs, Master's Degree in Hospitality & Tourism

What are the admission requirements?

Students must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale) from an accredited institute. For international students, transcripts have to be done through Course by Course Credential Evaluation from a NACES certified organization for all course work completed outside of the United States.

  • Minimum for speaking proficiency section - 19
  • Minimum for other sections - 17

How long will the program take?

The program requires completion of 33 credits. Most students can finish these 11 required courses in two calendar years. The program is flexible for those students who wish to attend full or part time.

Is there housing on campus?

Currently, there is no housing for graduate students on campus. However, suitable off-campus housing is available surrounding the campus. The university offers assistance to full-time international graduate students in securing housing adjacent to the campus.

Will I need a car?

A car would be helpful if you would like to have a wide choice of employment opportunities and housing options. However, the public transportation system in the metropolitan Philadelphia area is very good. There is train service near campus and bus service on the edges of the campus.

What time are classes?

Classes meet in the late afternoon or early evening, once a week. Some electives are offered twice a week in the late afternoons.

Are there application deadlines?

Rolling admissions; no specific deadlines.

Do I need to take the GMAT, GRE or MAT?

Currently, the program does not require standardized testing.
