My Widener Experience
why did you decide to pursue your graduate degree in hospitality and tourism at widener?
I always wanted to do something that would take me places, and hospitality and tourism seemed like a perfect degree to pursue. Although I already had an undergraduate degree in computer science, I made the move, and after almost two phenomenal years of experience, I believe I made the right choice.
what is your favorite memory of widener?
As the only school I've attended in the United States, Widener holds a special place for me. It has helped me learn and quickly assimilate in U.S. culture, which wouldn't have been possible otherwise. I loved the rich history attached to the campus along with the state-of-the-art facilities it provided.
My Professional Experience
what do you like most about your current position?
The best part about my job is the responsibility. Being in charge of 581 rooms isn't an easy task, but by the end of the day, it gives me great contentment, making the job I do worthwhile.
what advice would you give a prospective student considering your graduate program?
Do your best in the program and be aggressive. The hospitality management program demands a lot of energy; therefore, it's about diving in and experiencing everything. The research part of the program is a great learning opportunity that prepares students to become excellent future leaders and thinkers.
