Master of Education
Widener’s master of education programs put educators on the fast track to becoming effective teachers, counselors, or administrators. Students are exposed to cutting-edge learning practices that are aimed at working professionals and provide opportunities for professional enrichment and career growth.
Many of the tristate area's leading educators earned their master of education degrees at Widener. The diverse program appeals to college and university administrators interested in moving into a leadership role.
Additionally, K–12 administrators and teachers who want to take their careers to the next level will benefit from Widener’s programs.
The Center for Education at Widener is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), www.ncate.org. This accreditation covers initial teacher preparation programs and advanced educator preparation programs at Widener’s Main Campus and online programs. However, the accreditation does not include individual education courses that the institution offers to P–12 educators for professional development, relicensure, or other purposes.
