Who usually pursues this degree?
The master's program in educational foundations is designed for educators in K–12 or individuals working in higher education who are looking to increase and improve their overall knowledge of the education field. Graduates may go on to become leaders in the classroom or advance in their professional field when a master’s degree is required.
Is this program offered online?
Yes, this program can be taken entirely online.
How long does it take to complete the program?
The educational foundations program can be completed in as short as 12 months but most students take about 18 months to complete the program.
How does the online program work? Do I have participate in class at a certain time every week or am I able to complete the coursework at a time that is most convenient for me? Are all of my texts/reading materials online as well?
All classes are completely online and individual instructors may have some synchronous meetings. Reading material is also online or you may need to purchase a textbook.
Is there any potential for in-person interaction with faculty or my peers?
You can schedule to meet with your faculty either in person or online. You will generally interact with your peers through your coursework via blogs, message boards, or group projects.
How accessible are faculty through the online program? Will I have the support I need to successfully complete the program?
Faculty teaching online are readily accessible and will delineate their availability in their syllabi.
Is tuition for the online program the same as the on-campus graduate programs? Is financial aid available?

No, the writing sample is waived for all of our MEd online programs.
