Success Stories, Career Design and Development

We take pride in the success of our graduates. From landing great jobs to acceptance into top graduate schools, the results speak for themselves.

Every year, Widener University conducts a First Destination Survey with recent graduates to track their progress after graduation. Graduating classes are asked to complete the survey between graduation and six months post-graduation.

Our Results are Strong

$55,068 average salary of our graduate survey responders. That's nearly $5,000 more than the NACE national Class of 2017 first-destination data.

89% of graduate responders are actively employed or pursuing continued studies within six months of graduation.

Student Testimonials

Mark TonerMy two co-op experiences at Penn Capital Management and South Jersey Industries were nothing short of amazing. Career Design and Development was always there to help with interview prep, assist with applications, or even just for last-minute advice. I was able to gain valuable experience, add to my resume, and prepare for my professional life after college. I would recommend the co-op program to any student that is looking to further his or her professional career.

Michael BrantThe Career Design and Development department at Widener University is one of those rare, goal-conscious, and selfless teams that few universities can say they have. I'm thrilled with how this department guided me into securing a co-op position at Lockheed Martin that turned into a job.
