Fees and Eligibility
All full-time undergraduate Widener students are eligible to receive counseling services during the fall and spring semesters free of charge. Services offered are typically of a brief duration and can be discussed with staff at your first appointment. Full-time undergraduate students receiving counseling services are also eligible to receive psychiatric services at no charge.
All full-time graduate students are permitted up to six counseling sessions per academic year for brief targeted therapy and referrals for alternate treatment options.
If you are unable to make your appointment we ask that you give 24-hour notice. If after-hours, please leave a message at 610-499-1261 with your name, ID number, cell number, and reason. We will return your call the next business day.
If a mental health emergency should occur outside of the Center's operating hours, resident housing students should contact an RA or AC on duty or dial Campus Safety at 610-499-4200. Non-resident students of Widener University and graduate students should contact the nearest crisis center or hospital emergency room (Crozer Chester Hospital in Chester is the nearest to Campus) or dial #911.
