- Through Widener’s Social Work Counseling Services (SWCS), students apply classroom learning to field internships where they offer free social work services to under-served populations in Chester.
- Communication studies students work with local businesses and nonprofits to create documentaries, public service announcements, and public relations campaigns.
- Nursing students volunteer at the Widener Community Nursing Clinic in Chester, which provides physical assessments, some medical care, referrals to support groups, and education programs.
