• America’s Career Resource Network: America's Career Resource Network (ACRN) consists of state and federal organizations that provide information, resources, and training on career and education exploration. The network's national activities are funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. For counselors, ACRN provides guides, curricula, and National Career Development Guidelines that help them incorporate career development into a high-quality academic program.
• Career Choices: a power point presentation addressing the career development process and making connections between interests, skills, and goals. This power point presentation was created and hosted by Jefferson County Schools in TN.
• National Career Development Association: A division of the American Counseling Association that has a mission to promote career development for all persons across the lifespan. This site contains information for Career Counseling Professionals such as professional development activities, various publications and research, among many other valuable resources.• Occupational Outlook Handbook: A nationally recognized source for career information. The handbook is updated every 2 years and it provides a comprehensive listing of jobs and allows the user to find out the training and education needed for various careers, job descriptions and work conditions, earnings, and expected job prospects. The site also provides job search tips and job market information for each state.
• Streaming Futures: Streaming Futures is dedicated to helping people choose the right career path by allowing them to watch interviews with high profile career professionals from all different sectors.
Testing Information
• ACT: An independent organization providing numerous assessments including the ACT. The site offers information about testing dates, guides for students and parents, and resources for education professionals.• College Board: Valuable information and resource tools for students, parents, and education professionals. Some tools include information about College Board Tests such as SAT’s and PSAT’s and important testing dates and registration, search and compare colleges, planning guides for college, guides for preparing financially for college, and many professional counselor development activities and resources.

Financial Information
• FAFSA: This site is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The site offers a three step process with detailed instructions and the deadlines for completing the FAFSA for Federal Student Aid.• PHEAA Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency: An Agency site that creates access to education for Pennsylvania resident students. The site has many resources including information on state grants, educational loans, college planning information, and work study information for students.
International Information
• WES: World Education Services: Is a source of international education intelligence. This site offers beneficial information and services for students all over the world looking to study in the U.S. The site also offers the helpful service of credential evaluation for students who have studied outside the United States.Academic and College Planning
• Countdown to College: A Pre-College Checklist: An article on RedOrbit that gives valuable information to help students and families begin preparing for college starting their freshman year.• Education Planner: A site created by AES, which is a national financial aid services organization. This site includes information on how to plan academically and financially for college, a guide on how to select and decide on the right school for you, and tips for applying to schools.
• Art Junction: A collaborative site for educators and students. Art Junction is designed to provide a safe and structured virtual environment within which teachers and students can pursue artistic and educational goals.
• See Me. Hear My Feelings.: This site is sponsored by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and the North Central Action Network, an affiliate of the Mental Health Network for School Success in Ohio. The site promotes Teen Mental Health Awareness and is a resource for teenagers to listen and hear stories from other teens on various topics such as depression, bullying, autism, attention problems, and more.
• School Counselor.com: SchoolCounselor.com was created by Russell Sabella, PhD for the purpose of advancing solution focused technology literacy among counselors. This site contains links and updated information for his book, SchoolCounselor.com: A Friendly and Practical Guide to the World Wide Web. In addition, school counselors can subscribe to a free newsletter which focuses on technology issues, resources, and activities; and explore free and almost free resources. Finally, you will want to definitely check out our continually expanding counseling technology resources.
